Custom Vehicle Ordering
Due to an overwhelming number of requests, we are now able to accommodate customer custom vehicle orders! We are able to source for you almost any 15 year old (or older) JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) vehicle. We obtain all our vehicles through Japan’s largest and most respected auction houses. Japanese Grading System
Japanese vehicles are graded at the auctions on a scale of 0 to 5. We only purchase vehicles that rate 3.5 or higher unless otherwise requested. Note that your typical 7 year old North American vehicle would be graded 3.5, while a typical 15 year old North American vehicle would be graded 2.0. See below for grading details.
5 - Perfect (New or almost new vehicles)
4.5 - Perfect-Excellent (Almost no imperfections)
4.0 - Excellent (A couple minor dents/scratches)
3.5 - Above Average (Some minor dents/scratches/flaws)
3.0 - Average (Dents/scratches/flaws all around)
2.0 - 1.0 - Poor (Many dents/scratches/cracks/flaws/rust)
0/R/A - Accident Repair (Repaired panels/structural repairs)
Let us know what you are looking for and we will give you a landed cost. The landed cost is the total cost to purchase and bring the vehicle to you which includes among other things:
- Cost of vehicle
- Japanese deregistration/transaction fees
- Packing and destuffing fees
- Ocean container shipping (includes BAF, PSS, THC, misc fees)
- Canada Customs agriculture inspection
- Rail freight from Vancouver, BC to Toronto, ON
- Brokerage and Canada Customs importation
Note that a deposit is required on custom vehicle orders. The amount of the deposit is based on the landed cost of the vehicle and typically ranges between $1,500—$2,500. This deposit is refundable up until the point of time in which the vehicle is purchased through our agents in Japan. The balance owing is due on pickup of the vehicle at our dealership in Kitchener.
If after contacting us, you are in agreement with the landed price given and wish to proceed with an order, we will need the particulars on the vehicle you wish to acquire. (ie. Colour, drive train options, accessories) Please note that it becomes increasingly difficult to find a match if you are too specific in your requests.
Custom ordering is not an instant process. The time it takes to obtain your vehicle varies but typically takes around 2-3 months after initiating a custom vehicle order.
